How Much Does Student Accommodation Cost in Coventry?

Moving out of your parents home and into the unknown world of tenancy agreements and deposits can be a daunting but also exciting experience. Finding a comfortable, fully furnished, centrally located and affordable student accommodation is the dream, but what costs does that involve?

If you’re planning on renting a student property, you can expect to incur in two one-off payments and one monthly transfer.

The first two involve a refundable holding deposit to reserve the property (capped at one week’s rent) and a refundable tenancy deposit (capped at five weeks rent). However, you might get around the holding deposit if you don’t need to secure the property in advance.

And finally, as you’ve probably already guessed, the third payment is your monthly rent which can be as much as £150 or as little as £110 per person per week. This can either exclude or include bills which is the case of all our properties at Lettuce Lettings.

If bills aren’t included you should expect to pay for a TV license, utility bills, internet and council tax if you live with someone who isn’t a student. You can find out more about these in our guide to split student household bills.
